Seòl Mara Cottage

Seòl Mara (meaning 'the tide' in Gaelic), recently renovated by its new owners, has been upgraded and furnished to a high standard. Relax in front of the wood burning stove in this cosy traditional cottage with views of the hills and across to Luskentyre village.

The cottage sleeps four and accommodation is split across a master bedroom and two single bedrooms. The modernised dining kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine, tumble drier, dish washer, microwave and a Tassimo coffee machine. The bathroom has a pressurised shower. Oil central heating has been installed throughout. Touches of Harris Tweed, thick carpets, modernised kitchen and bathroom give a warm and luxurious feel. The front and rear entrance hallways and the kitchen all have hardwood flooring.

A high chair and a travel cot are also provided. For entertainment, there is a TV and CD/DVD player that has been connected to the stereo system. An X-BOX 360 and a selection of games is also available. Access to the shore is via the stone steps at the rear of the house from within the large fenced garden.

Pricing and Availability

The cottage has undergone an extensive renovation and modernisation program. Please check the booking calendar below, where Saturday is the changeover day. Also, please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss your booking requirements or if you require any further information.

The weekly rates are as follows:

  • April - September: £800
  • October: £650
  • November - March: £500
  • Xmas / New year: £800

Floor Plan


Accommodation is all on one level. The second single bedroom is accessed from the first single bedroom.



There is a good sized fenced/gated garden to the front and to the rear of the cottage. There is a patio table and seating at the rear overlooking the sandy bay towards Ben Luskentyre and the island of Taransay.
